{"id":27237,"date":"2024-10-23T07:37:51","date_gmt":"2024-10-23T07:37:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vsaa.lt\/?p=27237"},"modified":"2024-10-23T07:37:51","modified_gmt":"2024-10-23T07:37:51","slug":"international-forum-vilnius-and-other-world-heritage-cities-living-links","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vsaa.lt\/en\/news-cat\/international-forum-vilnius-and-other-world-heritage-cities-living-links\/","title":{"rendered":"International forum \u201cVilnius and Other World Heritage Cities: Living Links\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">The international forum \u201cVilnius and Other World Heritage Cities: Living Links\u201d took place at Vilnius Town Hall, on October 17-18, 2024.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Participants of the Forum were greeted by Director of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre <strong>Lazare Eloundou Assomo<\/strong> (online message) and Director General of ICCROM (International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property) <strong>Aruna Francesca Maria Gujral<\/strong> (online message)<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Good practices from Warsaw (<strong>Michal Krasucki<\/strong>), Praha (<strong>Kristyna Drapalova<\/strong>) and Riga (<strong>Aigars Kuskis<\/strong>) were presented. Lithuanian speakers presented cultural exchange, mutual influences and links between Vilnius and Kaunas, Konigsberg, Rome and Ukrainian cities. Participants from Budapest, Dubrovnik, Kuldiga, Kyiv, Riga, Zamosc, ICCROM and local heritage conservation community discussed common challenges and possible solutions.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Forum was dedicated to the celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of the inscription of Vilnius Historical Centre into the UNESCO World Heritage List (in 1994).
