Memoir and Testimony&#8221;<\/strong> took place at Vilnius Old Town Renewal Agency on Tuesday, February 11, at 5:00 PM. It was organised in collaboration with the Judaica Research Center of the Martynas Ma\u017evydas National Library of Lithuania. The presentation followed by a discussion with its editor <strong>Prof. Justin D. Cammy<\/strong>, a scholar of Jewish studies and comparative literature at Smith College (Massachusetts, USA). The book&#8217;s translator into Lithuanian, <strong>Saul\u0117 Vali\u016bnait\u0117<\/strong>, a doctoral candidate at the Faculty of History, Vilnius University, and the head of the Judaica Research Center at the Martynas Ma\u017evydas National Library of Lithuania <strong>Dr. Lara Lempertien\u0117<\/strong> also participated in the event, which was moderated by <strong>Dr. Neringa Latvyt\u0117<\/strong>.<\/div>\n<div>Avrom Sutzkever was one of the most prominent Yiddish poets, renowned in the literary world for his exceptional talent, sensitivity, and historical insight. He pursued his mission under the most difficult circumstances\u2014inside the Vilna Ghetto, where daily life was marked by death and suffering.
