{"id":3944,"date":"2018-02-28T14:39:17","date_gmt":"2018-02-28T14:39:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vsaa.lt\/?p=3944"},"modified":"2022-02-28T07:16:11","modified_gmt":"2022-02-28T07:16:11","slug":"european-artistic-crafts-days-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vsaa.lt\/en\/news-cat\/european-artistic-crafts-days-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"European Artistic Crafts Days 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The European Artistic Crafts Days (EACD)&nbsp;took place from&nbsp;6 to 8 April 2018 in&nbsp;Lithuania (Vilnius, Kaunas and Trakai)&nbsp;and in 19 European countries. &nbsp;After eleven editions, the <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.journeesdesmetiersdart.fr\/retrouvez-toute-la-programmation-de-nos-partenaires-europeens\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Artistic Crafts Days<\/a><\/span>, launched in France in 2002, have become the leading European event devoted to the artistic crafts. Coordinated by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.institut-metiersdart.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Institut National des M\u00e9tiers d\u2019Art (INMA)<\/span><\/a>, the cultural, economic, and tourist event showcases the exceptional expertise in the artistic crafts, in all its wealth and diversity. It is now the biggest international event devoted to this sector of activity.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Programme in Vilnius:<\/span> <a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vsaa.lt\/naujas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/2018-EDAD-PROGRAMA.doc\">2018 EDAD PROGRAMA<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>EACD&nbsp;was organized in Vilnius by&nbsp;the Old Town Renewal Agency already&nbsp;4th time. 12 workshops-galleries \u2013 <span style=\"color: #800000;\">members of Vilnius Municipal Crafts&#8217; Programme<\/span>&nbsp; took part in the EACD, there were 28 educational events and 5 exibitions organised. In 2018, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ldm.lt\/en\/tdm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Museum of Applied Art and Design<\/span> <\/a>in Vilnius&nbsp;joined the partners of the EACD. Admission to the museum&nbsp;was free from 6 to 8 April and two exhibitions were held: a permanent exhibition, entitled \u201eLuxury and Craftsmanship: European Applied Art of the 16th\u201320th Century from the Collections of the Lithuanian Art Museum\u201c, and a temporary exhibition &#8220;Applied Arts and Design. 1918\u20132018&#8221;. The new partners were also Kaunas Cultural Centre and Trakai Traditional Crafts Centre.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2012, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.journeesdesmetiersdart.fr\/retrouvez-toute-la-programmation-de-nos-partenaires-europeens\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">European Artistic Crafts Days<\/span> <\/a>have become a European event. They are now well established in Europe and are becoming increasingly popular in each of the partner countries: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Spain, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. In 2018, Ireland is joining the event.
