{"id":5089,"date":"2019-01-25T12:24:22","date_gmt":"2019-01-25T12:24:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vsaa.lt\/?p=5089"},"modified":"2022-02-28T07:16:11","modified_gmt":"2022-02-28T07:16:11","slug":"exhibition-the-world-heritage-journeys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vsaa.lt\/en\/news-cat\/exhibition-the-world-heritage-journeys\/","title":{"rendered":"Exhibition the World Heritage Journeys"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Photo exhibition \u201eThe World Heritage Journeys\u201c, prepared by UNESCO and The National Geographic, is presented during the International Exhibition on Tourism and Active Leisure <a href=\"https:\/\/www.litexpo.lt\/en\/exhibitions\/-adventur-2019-en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">ADVENTUR<\/span><\/a> on 2019 January 25 \u2013 27, 2019 at Lithuanian exhibition and congress centre LITEXPO in Vilnius.<\/p>\n<p>Presentation of the Project \u201e<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/visitworldheritage.com\/en\/eu\/about\/ee61b67f-c728-4851-b26e-9730ce3aa0f3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The World Heritage Journeys in the European Union<\/a><\/span>\u201c took place during the Opening Day of ADVENTUR Exhibition. Director of Vilnius Old Town Renewal Agency gave a lecture on the Project development and Vilnius as UNESCO world heritage site.<\/p>\n<p>Vilnius City joined the Project \u201eThe World Heritage Journeys in the European Union\u201c in 2017 (<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/visitworldheritage.com\/en\/eu\/about\/ee61b67f-c728-4851-b26e-9730ce3aa0f3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a><\/span>). The Project is funded by a grant from the European Commission to UNESCO. The objective is to create unique cultural heritage experiences through the development of thematic transEuropean itineraries. By including iconic and lesser known World Heritage sites, these routes will enable people to see Europe\u2019s World Heritage sites from a new and exciting perspective. The project will leverage World Heritage branding and raise awareness of World Heritage sites in the European Union to increase the number of (international) visitors, encourage dispersal of visitors into less visted areas; also to attract key source markets to Europe such as China and the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>The World Heritage Journeys will centre on the following four themes: Ancient Europe, Royal Europe, Romantic Europe and Underground Europe. Vilnius City was invited to be a part of thematic route \u201eRomantic Europe\u201c.
