{"id":7737,"date":"2021-02-15T15:19:49","date_gmt":"2021-02-15T15:19:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vsaa.lt\/?p=7737"},"modified":"2022-02-28T07:16:09","modified_gmt":"2022-02-28T07:16:09","slug":"owhc-workshop-culture-and-technology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vsaa.lt\/en\/news-cat\/owhc-workshop-culture-and-technology\/","title":{"rendered":"OWHC Workshop &#8220;Culture and Technology\u201c"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Organisation of World Heritage Cities organises a new series of workshops <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ovpm.org\/program\/capacity-building\/on-the-road-to-quebec\/tourism-and-economy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">On the Road to Quebec<\/a><\/em><\/span> inspired by the 16th OWHC World Congress&#8217;s theme and the current global crisis.<\/p>\n<p>On February 11, a first workshop \u201eCulture and Technology\u201c was held. Introduction was done by&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #800000;\">Professor&nbsp;Michael Turner<\/span>, UNESCO Chair in Urban Design and Conservation&nbsp;at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem. He emphasized that the virtual space significantly increased, and it is like a digital revolution.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Robert Piaskowski<\/span>, the adviser to the Mayor of Krakow, presented the challenges of the Covid-19 crisis. City museums, theatres and festivals were closed during the pandemic, but new technologies have helped organizations to reach out to the public.
