{"id":8094,"date":"2021-06-16T09:38:42","date_gmt":"2021-06-16T09:38:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vsaa.lt\/?p=8094"},"modified":"2022-02-28T07:16:08","modified_gmt":"2022-02-28T07:16:08","slug":"european-archeology-days-in-vilnius","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vsaa.lt\/en\/news-cat\/european-archeology-days-in-vilnius\/","title":{"rendered":"European Archaeology Days in Vilnius"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">The European Archaeology Days<\/span>&nbsp;took place on June 18, 19 and 20, 2021.&nbsp;During these Archaeology Days, all those involved in archaeology were mobilized to introduce the public to the treasures of their national heritage and the secrets of the profession.<\/p>\n<p>The Agency invited Vilnius craftsmen to join the European Archaeology Days 2021. 9 events tooke place in 6 galleries-workshops of craftsmen:<\/p>\n<p>Reconstruction of the Gothic and Renaissance pottery techniques and making of ceramic frying pans were presented by Vilnius Potters&#8217; Workshop.<br \/>\nReconstructed archaeological rings of the most famous Lithuanian Grand Duchy&#8217;s noble men were presented by the <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vilnensis.eu\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jewellery School Vilnensis<\/a><\/span>.<br \/>\nLecture and demonstration how to make antique glass beads and the Gothic bookbinding&nbsp;were presented by the <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.seniejiamatai.lt\/news.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Old Crafts Workshop<\/a><\/span>.<br \/>\nDemonstration of the Limoges enamel technique and materials of 15th &#8211; 16th centuries were presented by the gallery \u201e<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/menonisa.lt\/en\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meno Nisa<\/a><\/span>\u201c<br \/>\nMethods of reconstruction of antique Lithuanian clothing&nbsp;were presented by masters of \u201eMenas Sau\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>The EAD Programme of craftsmen (in Lithuania)&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vsaa.lt\/naujas\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/arch-dienos-programa.pdf\">Archeologijos dien\u0173 programa<\/a><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/journees-archeologie.fr\/fru-2629\/c-2021\/lg-en\/accueil\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Information on events in English<\/a>:&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European Archaeology Days&nbsp;took place on June 18, 19 and 20, 2021.&nbsp;During these Archaeology Days, all those involved in archaeology were mobilized to introduce the public to the treasures of their national heritage and the secrets of the profession.
