PUBLICATIONS OF VILNIUS OLD TOWN RENEWAL AGENCY

The following publications have been released by OTRA:

Leaflet "How to take part in the Vilnius Old Town Revitalisation Programme" (supported by UNDP) is in two parts:
- Part 1 of the publication (2000) discusses requirements and opportunities for citizens to co-financing renovation of Vilnius Old Town building or their environment and presents assessment criteria for the sites and objects to be renovated
- Part 2 "Preservation of Heritage Values" (2001) gives information on authentic surviving buildings or parts of their environment, in particular on preservation and displaying of architectural and artistic decorum and construction elements.

The brochure "Investors' Guidelines" (2001, supported by UNESCO) is an information publication dealing with the main problems encountered when investing in the Old Town. In June 2003 a second edition of the Investors' Guidelines taking into consideration the new Law on Building and other amended legal acts and regulations was published.

The brochure "Conservation Guidelines" (2002, supported by UNESCO) is an information publication on the preservation of heritage values in the improvement of living environment.
In 2002, along with the "Conservation Guidelines", 9 Main Rules for the Maintenance of Historic Buildings was released as a separate leaflet. This checklist is intended for Old Town residents and investors who make changes in the Old Town.
