PROJECT "CELEBRATION OF CRAFT"

Project "Celebration of Craft" is financed from Leonardo da Vinci fund and is devoted to the upgrading of qualification of crafstmen of traditional wooden architecture. Partners are from Roros (Norway), Lastu (Finland) and Tallinn (Estonia).

Three seminars were organised in the framework of the project: in Roros (March of 2004), in Tallinn (September of 2004) and in Vilnius (April 2005). All events consisted of partner meetings and workshops of the craftsmen. Craftsmen from Estonia, Finland Norway, and Lithuania together exchanged their experience and worked at the restoration of wooden houses in Roros, wooden church in Tallinn and wooden residential houses in Vilnius. In Vilnius they have restored part of wooden decorations of three houses in Baltasis st. 7, Filaretu st. 8 and Polocko st. 52. The final conference and the exhibition of the project took place in Venice.
